Hi everyone! I had my egg collection yesterday and it went really well. 16 follicles and 15 eggs. Didn't remember a thing. When I woke up, felt but fuzzy but was ok to move about, had my sandwich and cuppa then waited for the embryologist. All was ok.
When the embryologist came, I suddenly started to feel sick and tired and pain. I had to lie back down. Since then, I've had excruciating pain in my abdomen like someone is stabbing me and aching. My back hurts and I've pulled a muscle by my ribs and neck.
I don't remember any of this pain last time. It's my 3rd IVF cycle and I'm worried. I'm quite active and independent usually but am stuck in bed. Has anyone had pain after egg collection?

I think you should phone your clinic. I was in pain (but had OHSS) but it wasn’t stabbing type pain. To be safe I’d speak with them as it could be nothing, it could be a sign of something medics need to act on. X
Hi Lumie I just finished my 3rd cycle and I have to say was definitely different after EC then the last two . I was sick when doctor come I was extremely bloated and all my stomach muscles was hurting that bad when u press or lay down on side . That was like that for two days . On 3rd day after I finally start feeling better and before my ET I was feeling “normal “. While u was there did u told them that u not feeling well? Maybe is better u call them hun xx
Thanks for all your replies, I rang them and the nurse didn't seem worried. She said it was normal and nothing to worry about. She said it'll settle in few days. Not sure if I was convinced. I'll wait but I'm back to work Thursday so hopefully he ok by then?!? Got my embryologist phonecall. 15 eggs, 9 fertilised 🤞🤞🤞
