Only 1 egg collected.... hopefully the golden egg 🤞🏼

Just home after EC, was disappointing as despite 2 follicles being aspirated there was only 1 egg. First time had 8, then 5 so it is a blow. I don’t know if down to being bit older now or fact they prescribed me Menopur for the first time as my stimulation drugs....

Initially I broke down in the procedure room, simply because I have only ever got pregnant with a double transfer. Calmed down a bit and thinking there is a first time for everything and there is nothing more I could’ve done. I trusted the change of drugs as guess they had their reasons.

Good news is initially looking like a good quality egg, although can’t say at this stage if mature. My DF’s sperm produced today is excellent and we are hopeful of fertilisation 🤞🏼🙏🏻🤞🏼

Thank you, I think as only got pregnant from double transfer it is not ideal. My DF reminded me though they were FETs and he is quietly confident with this being a fresh x

Its not quantity its quality, we collected 5 eggs only 1 was viable for IVF And we now have our son who is 3 it can happen wishing you all the best xx
