Gutted after scan

Well just had scan to see how im responding and one ovary seems not to be responding with tiny follicle not worth mentioning and other ovary couple of tiny follicles probably too small to ever catch up and 3 dominant follicles (12, 14, 17 mm). So looking like 3 follicles, hopefully 3 eggs and they are not likely to all make it so at this.point worried i'll have none to put back. I was really hoping to defy my amh odds and have enough left over to freeze so i could stop putting my life on hold with a big question mark over my finances. I want 2 kids maybe 3 if possible. Right now dont know if i'll have any (of my own anyway). So depressed this morn. Any stories of encouragement welcome.xxx

Oh I'm so sorry! Obviously our journeys are very different but the feelings of disappointment are the same. Hope those 3 follicles contain 3 super strong eggs for you! xo

11 fertilised yesterday so we get another update tomorrow. Any idea when they're planning your retrieval yet?

Sorry to hear that. Had the same situation as your on m last ivf. 3 eggs and non were successful during fertilization. Keep positive thinking, no stress and keep healthy diet. We can do it! Don’t get depressed. It’s not easy. But tell yourself that you can do it and you will get healthy eggs and embbies

Don’t be disheartened - it just takes one good egg! Positive thoughts, I know it’s difficult but stay strong. Wishing you all the best xxx

Hi thanks so much. Just read your last few posts and you've really been through it. So sorry to hear. Hope these few little follicles i have dont disappear. Did they explain what happened to you?

I’ve everything crossed for you 🤞. No, the consultant just said there was nothing - he actually wondered if the Ovitrelle injection had worked but a blood test showed it in my system. Just one of those things I suppose.....we’ve a review appointment in April to discuss options and next steps.

When is your egg collection due? Just keep thinking big xxx

My scan only showed 4 mature follicles and they told me I would get a maximum of 4 eggs but actually when it came to the collection they managed to get 8 eggs and 6 made it to blastocyst. I think some of the follicles were hidden because of how my ovaries were angled in the scan. Hopefully something similar will happen for you Xx

P.s. just reading your last post. Can't believe people would comment on that. I'd be thrilled to get 2 eggs and at my age (38) with my amh i'd put 2 back in an instant. Hope you are okay as there wasn't any more recent posts from that.xx

Thank you. I really hope your egg collection goes well. Everyone’s got an opinion haven’t they but ultimately you only really know what it’s like if you’ve been through it x

I don’t have a positive story to share, but I’m in a similar place to you with the realisation I can’t defy my AMH, and the limbo keeps continuing, just wanted to say you are not alone. Fingers crossed you still get an amazing result xx
