So I was given a written process of clomid and how to take it etc when I was prescribed it by the fertility specialist at the hospital on my nhs appointment.
I then went home and read it and it does state that if you have irregular cycles then you can ask your doctor for progesterone to bring on the bleed.
I visited my doctors to ask for provera and he gave it to me 30 tablets in 2.5mg.
But for the dose he said best to ask my fertility place which is hospital.
I called them and the nurses were vague and wouldn't tell me The correct dose.
Where do I go or who can I ask ?
I haven't collected prescription yet as I'm so confused.
I basically have very irregular periods and the whole issue is that the specialists don't think I ovulate.
They'd like me to try clomid 6 x before I have ivf but my ivf is booked for July and with irregular cycles I'llbe lucky if I get to try clomid once or twice within that time frame.

Wow that is great that it regulated your cycles. I think part of the issue for me is not having regular cycles and can't plan around it etc or don't know when it will show up.
Can you speak to the dr at the fertility clinic rather than the nurse? I took provera when i had to take clomid but the dosage I was given may be different to yours and when you should start it and for how long as it can vary I think. It’s worth collecting the prescription as the dosage may be on the label anyway and then you can speak to the pharmacist.
Yes I called the nurses again and asked for more information as I am running out of time to try clomid before ivf in July.
Unfortunately the process is if we have any questions or issues then we have go call the fertility nurses at the hospital and they help answer. In my case I called and asked again and they have now said that they will go through doctors notes and ask doctor and get back to me but couldn't give me a date so not sure how long I'llbe waiting for this information.
I think I will go and collect my prescription anyways and see if the pharmacist can assist.
