Hello all, I’ve had my ovarian reserve blood results today and have my first apt with clinic in Glasgow on the 14th March. What happens at the first apt? Guess this means I’ll need to start filling out the mountain of consent forms! Lol. xx

Hello! Welcome the first appointment as far as I remember is height weight and carbon monoxide test. They will give you consent forms home to read so that you have time to think about it all. You will be given the best care in the rah. Every staff member we encountered was so lovely and kind. Best of luck with your journey.xx
Did you have IVF at Glasgow? Just wondered what the parking was like?
I did. I always parked on the hill off to left off the road down to the necropolis. Is pay and display.xx
That’s really reassuring to hear. Thank you. I’ve had the height, weight, carbon monoxide and been given all the forms in Dumfries and have now got my referral to Glasgow.
Think the first appointment was going through the consent forms, height and weight recorded, and the carbon monoxide. You'll also be given a schedule of what to expect and when with your treatment and a treatment diary sheet as well.
Parking I just parked at the car park. It's £1.70 an hour and I've never had a problem with finding a space quickly.
I dont know what to expect yet but I have my consultation appt tomorrow! I had to fill out my questionnaire already in advance. I am excited and scared at the same time.
Good luck! But I am sure it will be helpful for you and at least it is the start of something better xx
Yeah lots of forms and not much else. I always found these appointments a bit frustrating as you just want to get started, but at least you’re getting closer.
Totally agree with the parking tips- Wishart Street or Firpark Street.
Download the Park Jockey app as you can top up from your phone of the clinic is running late- one less thing to worry about.
My experience of the GRI over the past 18 months has been really positive (apart from my results- but that’s a work in progress!) x
There are a lot of forms that you will have to fill. After which you will have to submit all the important documents as well. Your medical reports as well. The clinic I am visiting is located abroad so I had to send several medical reports and other documents to them. However, the manager was helping me throughout. I hope things go well for you. Just stay positive and strong. Sending baby dust your way.
