First consultation

Hi

Tomorrow is my first consultation at fertility dept. Husbands test results came back absolutely fine n no concerns there. Last yr i had an internal ultrasound and that was clear - no cysts apt thickness of lining etc. I have irregular periods since ttc some gaps as long as 52 days. No use of contraception EVER and no attempts to prevent a pregnancy. I am so confused why i am not yet preggo but i guess its just not written for me yet. Anyone else remember their first consultation? Nurse on the phone said the dr wont do much just take history etc, a20 min apt from what i gathered. Any replies would be appreciated x

Hie.. My dr. Took an internel scan and as i was on 5th day of my menstrual cycle they took my bloods as well..

Ooh ok so they could do a scan! I prefer ALL tests asap lol but i know thats not poss! Im now technically 33 days of cycle so 5 days over the 28 days cycle ive had for last 3 cycles. Im rambling- just excited and nervous all at once x

Lots of luck for your apt - at mine it was jus taking all mine and my husbands history and arranging for the relevant tests to be done xx

My first apt was very underwhelming. Just explained the various tests they could do, referred me for one and sent me on my way until the apt came through. It was a long process but worth it in the end

Thank u all for ur responses - turns out I have under active thyroid and sometimes I ovulate sometimes i dont. Going to have an ultrasound and also an xray apparently. Got to give bloods to dr on day 2-5 of periods.

Next apt is in Feb 2018 😯🙄 . M just trying to process this whole experience-so depressing
