Egg collection

Was so nervous yesterday for egg collection. Nervous about the sedation, worries they wouldn’t collect any eggs then worried my husbands sample wouldn’t be up to it as he’s had 3 previous samples tested and none with the same outcome but all with some kind of issue. Tests carried out by 2 different hospitals and no trust, especially in one of them. But went in my attractive gown and everyone was so lovely. I was really slow to wake up didn’t see recovery at all. Woke up as my husband walked into my room which was nice. Quite a bit of pain when I woke up but my ovaries where already quite swollen with all the stims meds. Afternoon with pain killers and chick flicks and several naps on the sofa and was feeling a little bit better. Woke up this morning as my husband answered the phone from the clinic to say that they’d taken 15 eggs and 14 were mature and 13 had fertilised over night! Feel like we’ve won the lottery this morning I know it’s still a long way to go but so thrilled that the last week of being in quite a lot of pain and walking like John Wayne has been worth it up to now. Just fingers crossed for the next bit, pessaries start tomorrow and also on steroids too now. Love to everyone on here it’s been so helpful reading posts when we were having unexpected bleeds on the journey to now - not sure why the scary worrying things happen at night when there’s nobody to call or ask but finding this forum has been so helpful and reassuring. It’s made the journey far less lonely. Positive thoughts now and lots of baby dust to everyone, fingers crossed for our rainbow baby xx

Had a strange feeling yesterday said to my hubby doesn’t it seem wired that one might become our baby and they’re so far away from us. So stupid really just felt weird! Think it must be the drugs lol

Definately not stupid or weird! They are a part of us, of course we worry for them and care for them and think of them growing in a wee dish 🐣 its definately a weird experience I guess in that way isn't it. I'm sure they are being well looked after 😃🐣💕 xxx
