If I need to find an egg donor to become pregnant, and I have an ivf cycle left to be funded by the nhs, will the preparation and egg transfer be funded and we would pay extra for the donor?
I’m at the beginning of my journey and I’m rather clueless!
My nhs consultant told us if we had to use egg donor we would have to provide our own egg donor and the pay for them to do the IVF. The alternative was to pay for both egg donation and ivf privately.
I think each area is different. The best place to get advice is from your clinic as they will be able to tell you if they source donors for you, what the criteria is and what you will be expected to pay etc. Good luck xx
