I’ve thought about acupuncture but never bitten the bullet so to speak. If you do it Let me know how you go. People rave about it for so many different uses. Good luck

I’ve been doing acupuncture for about 5 months (every fortnight). It’s changed my cycle from anywhere between 24-34 days to 27 days exactly (for all 5 months!). It also changed my ‘flow’ from being very light and brown each month (old blood) to not so light and red fresh blood.

She was able to tell me things like my liver is a bit sluggish so to eat more leafy greens to help it and improve blood flow. She also helps with chronic pain that I have, which in turn helps lower my stress levels.

I’m not pregnant yet so I can’t say it’s done that for me so far but I think it depends on how many things are out of balance in your body, I have lots so it may take more time. I specifically looked for someone who specialises in fertility acupuncture.

I am interested in trying hypnotherapy and have been looking into it. xx

I’ve got an appointment for a consultation for hypnotherapy tomorrow!

Never thought another it before but I’m willing to try anything.

I can’t find a fertility acupuncture clinic near me x

How did the hypnotherapy go?

It was just at consultation, it would be £600 for hypno and reflexology course 🤦🏼‍♀️x

Hello,

I have had two cycles. The first failed unfortunately but the second was successful. I had accupunture with the second and would recommend it. It’s important to find someone with experience in ivf accupunture as they conduct different treatments at different stages of the cycle. If you live near Hertfordshire I can recommend someone. :)

It’s impossible to say what was responsible for the positive outcome in my second cycle but like you I felt it was worth a try and I felt it helped. It also helped to relax and balance me.

There’s a really good book by Zita West which talks about the benefits of accupunture. Might be worth a look.

All the best with your next cycle. x

Hi! I’m not having IVF I’m still at the beginning of tests to find out what problem i have atm.

I might take a look at the book! Been wanting a new book xx

in reply to H0pe2

It would be really good for you in that case as looks at everything in your life to try and improve fertility and prevent needing ivf. Would defo recommend. All the best. x

in reply to

Could you please share the title of the Zita West's book?

in reply to

Yes of course. It’s called Zita Wests guide to fertility and assisted conception. She has a few books which are all supposed to be good but that’s the one I read.

Thank you Hidden . I will check.

I tried acupuncture for 6 months b4 and while on ivf and it still didn't work for me . Nothing changes so I guess it all depends. Maybe he wasn't good enough. Hoping for the best for you hun. Choose carefully

I had accupuncture for about 9 months and it made me very sleepy. I don't think it helped me either but it is different for everyone. You are better off trying it and see if it's right for you. I also tried reflexology. It didn't help with fertility but I felt it gave me energy, as wierd as it sounds!

I have stopped both now as it can get quite expensive. There are health insurance out there that allow you to claim back the cost. I'm with sovereign. Health insurance.

I hope it works for you. It's a good hour session and it might help de-stress you x

I do acupuncture regularly, whilst ttc, on the ivf cycle and now during pregnancy. I personally find it so relaxing and helpful - it really is great for soothing whatever your body is experiencing at any one time. I did up the ante with it during my ivf cycle, I go to an acupuncturist who is a fertility / women's health specialist so was in very good hands. I did have a successful first cycle, but of course have no idea how much of that was to do with the acupuncture or not! It did help me keep sane during the process, I'd say that much! I would recommend giving it a go, but don't go to just any acupuncturist. Find one in your area that has a specialist interest in assisted fertility. Best of luck! Xx

I have had 2 failures fresh and frozen and this time round doing accupuncture. It has helped my stress levels immensely and this cycle has been much easier. On 2ww so we will see. One of my friends had reflexology as struggling with ttc naturally and she swears it was the reflexology that helped her after 2 ttc.
