So I've always suffered with pesseries a little. Even when I lay down I after using them I always feel some of them fall out on to my knickers. I hate using them mummy backside but I have done. Recently been thinking of using the Lubion injection instead because that way I know I'll get the whole dose of medication. My only reluctance is that they look super painful. Anyone have any thoughts about this?

Lubion or pesseries
Hey Hun, I used both. Lubion injections daily and two pessars. It wasn't that painful but my threashold went up while going through IVF lol.
Yeah mine too. I'm not usually scared of injections but this looks like a long needle in a stabbing motion which is concerning. Do u administer the injection yourself and where do u do it?
I’m using pessaries and the injection for this cycle.
The injections don’t hurt when you have them but are sore afterwards and can leave nasty bruising and lumps. It’s because it’s oil into the muscle. I’ve found that massaging and heat applied straight after helps.
The injections are into the muscle in the bum, my OH does mine
Okay this sounds manageable. Thevonky thing that puts me off is that I can't administer the injection myself because I will always have to rely on hubby
Im Having the Pessaries 3 Times a Day and 1 Lubion Injection Every Other Day but I’ve been told to Have them in My Tummy, and Yeah they don’t Hurt but Feel Sore Later
I also had lubion and found them no different to any other injections. It just took a little longer to actually inject the fluid but the needle was the same size as any others. Lubion is an injection that just goes in your tummy too so it’s not an intramuscular one. I also took 3 pessaries a day on top of it xx
I haven't started mine yet but my progesterone level after taking two cyclogest Pessaries twice a day was only 54 so my Dr wants me to take a Lubion progesterone in oil injecting every morning and also one cyclogest pessarie each evening. He's told me Lubion definitely needs to be taken in upper buttock area or in thigh as it is muscular injection not intramuscular which is different to what the other two posters have written. Double check what your Dr wants you to do.
If you're worried your body isn't absorbing the Pessaries just have them check your progesterone levels which they should be monitoring anyhow. You might need both cyclogest and Lubion...
I’m on 2 cyclogest pessaries and 1 Lubion injection daily this round as I had spotting for both previous FETs so Dr thought this was worth a go. I take it in my stomach just like I used to with Burselin. It does take longer to inject but not to painful, I find if I ice the area after it seems to stop bruising xx
