Need to hear some success stories!

Hello all,

My partner and I have unexplained infertility, although we did conceive naturally in Jan but sadly lost baby at 6wks.

We are pursuing IVF due to my age, I turned 42 in Oct.

After finishing an unsuccessful first round of IVF on the NHS last month having 2 top grade embryos, the first didn’t implant and the second didn’t survive thaw. So frustrating to get so far and for this to happen at final hurdle. Was devastated and have spent the last few months wishing I’d been brave and had 2 embryos implanted rather than just 1.

We’ve registered at a new clinic and our first appointment is on Jan 7th but I feel disheartened and just need to hear a few success stories from anyone in a similar position. Our previous consultant had said based on our results this year we shouldn’t give up but it’s hard to remain positive.

Really sorry for the negative post. I think this time of year makes things much tougher.

Sorry to hear of your struggles and loss so far! Ive seen ladies have success in their 40's but unfortuately the number is pretty low when using their own eggs. Many ladies have had success in their 40's with DE....which is the route that Im on now as the success rates are much better, Im 41 now but started IVF when I was 38 so still battling on. Good luck.xx
