First Round Only one follicle

Hello

We are in our first round and have just been told there is only one folicle. I’m feeling pretty devastated, it feels like our options are so limited now. Why isn’t my body doing what it should?! Sorry if this is the wrong thing to say xx

Awww, have you had more follicles at previous scans during your initial tests? Maybe it could be worth seeing if you can abandon the cycle without losing it, and starting in another month? Each month I have varied at baseline from between 3 or 4 follicles up to 11!

Hi Jenny. Oh dear, that's not what you want to hear. If your ovaries are not playing ball this time, it might be best to abandon the cycle, rather than waste it. You will have to wait and see what your specialist advises. Thinking of you. Diane
