Our second ivf cycle is just round the corner. Baseline scan tonight and nurse appointment on Saturday. Really excited to say the least.
Work have been amazing through this whole year of our ivf journey.
I know some people are unsure about letting work know because of the time off you need for appointments and basically telling your boss you want to leave the company for a year to have a baby doesn’t sound great but I really do recommend telling you boss at work, I was scared to with not being with the company for more than a year but it has made the journey so much easier as you all know the clinic becomes your second home and you need to go when Summoned to face the wand once again. ❤️😊🤞

Hey. Same here. I was quite concerned for telling at work. At the end I've let my main manager and ny close colleagues know. Im due to start stims first week of January and i thought if my colleagues know will make my trips to the clinic easier and the support will be very important as well.
Good luck on your cycle hun and hope the New year brings you what you most want! ❤xxx
Im exactly the same. I always like to be on time, i never leave earlier even the other way around i always stay affer my shift has ended.
Yess, its my first and im so so excited. I was quite emotional when they first told me we will be referred for IVF but not for long. Now im positive and excited. We are entitled to 2 fresh and 2 frozen where i live and im trying to not put my hopes up but stay positive.
I’m the same too. Workaholic haha although through this I’ve chilled out a little more so the stress doesn’t take over.
Amazing! I thought the same too when we knew ivf was our only option but after time I thought although it’s the harder way to conceive it’s more exciting.
That is great you have that benefit what area are you from? 😁
We had our first nhs funded but this is now private as our area only allows for 1 cycle nhs funded! Sucks ass!
Have you done lots of researching for all the right things to eat, drink etc I found it fascinating but tried not to go overboard with stuff you get told to do in some books Xx
I've seen your posts it's a shame they fund only one really...
To be honest i did research a lot but not following all the advices very well... I do drink pomegranate juice, fresh grapefruit, im eating lots of veg and salads..
Let's see 😍😍😍 So when are due to start stims? Is it going to be ICSI? I will be on short protocol and will start Norethisterone around Xmas and stims in the first week of January. Now just waiting for AF to show up 😍😍😍 so we can book all my appointments. Xx
Aw really I actually thought further down south was more strict with funding but that’s so good. We’re in West Yorkshire.
Yeah to be honest that’s about as much as I’m doing too I’ve cut out the coffee and sweets and I bought these Zita west Vital DHA omega tablets but nothing else fancy! You could spend a fortune!
So we’re on just ivf on a short cycle too. AF is due week before Xmas so I’m hoping to start then and then stuns would be first week in January too! I’ve never been so excited for AF haha it sounds like our journey time is going to around the same time! ❤️❤️ xxx
Yeyy will be the same time yes. I was going to start November but af showed 2 days later than expected and couldn't fit for a transfer before the clinic's xmas holiday hahaha.
Me too, so excited. Im due to start af around the 9th this month and Norethisterone around xmas.
Will be an exciting January for both of us hopefully marked by a little miracle 😍😍😍😍😍xxz
I had my baseline in November just right before ovulation. Had 21 follicles on one and 12 follicles on the other ovary and my lining was 8.6 the doctor said sound promising and both my ovaries are accessible for collection.
So fingers crossed for bith of us and all the ladies out there fighting fora family.
I can't wait for January 🤗🤗🤗
Im pretty sure i will be crying over everything, i do it now what about when injecting with hormones hahaha.
Yes definitely gave my fingers crossed for you and everyone in this process it’s nice to talk to someone going through it too rather than chewing my other half’s ear off haha!
I agree with you. I think i is very important to tell the boss. This is because then they are considerate regarding you. Otherwise, people don't really understand as to why you are taking days off. I hope your second cycle of IVF works out. Stay positive and calm. Good luck to you. All my prayers are with you.
