I had egg collection yesterday and after the retrieval of 19 eggs, I am in some serious pain today. Has anyone any advice other than paracetamol and hot water bottle as it’s just not cutting it? No OHSS symptoms just ovary pain. Could this be more painful as I have no Fallopian tubes, as my ovaries are not attached to anything? Also, has anyone felt full up since starting STIMs and can’t eat as much as usual?

I was in a lot of pain and there’s nothing much you can do but take regular paracetamol every 4 hours and have a hot water bottle! I tried to sleep as much as I could so I wouldn’t be in pain awake ☹️
Hope you start to feel better soon. Amazing you had 19 eggs! No wonder you’re feeling sore! Take it easy and rest. Xx
I was in a lot of pain and put it down to the fact they couldn’t acces my left ovary so it was still ‘full’ after collection. All I could do was constant paracetamol, eat little and often, lots of water, hot water bottle and try to move around a little. I know it feels awful now but I promise, it does get better! xx
You can use heat until transfer so I recommend hot water bottles (I did one on front and back) and hot baths. You can also take co-codomal if the paracetamol does nothing - that is what my clinic said, but you may wish to check with yours. Keep drinking lots of fluids too, that is important to the recovery.
I'm sorry you are in pain - tbh that was my experience too of stimming and egg collection. Your ovaries are going to be very swollen now (mine were 3x the size of my uterus each lol) so you are bound to feel 'full' and uncomfortable. Your body should feel better in a few days. Until then, rest up! xx
My acupuncturist recommended Arnica and I think it really helped me. You can get it in the chemists and take it every 2 hours. Really hope your pain eases soon xx
