Clearing a cyst - OK to take dhea?

Ladt cycle I disappointingly had a cyst in one ovary with high oestrogen, so my clinic chose to cancel the cycle. My following period oestrogen was even higher. They've advised me to wait it out, it should clear by itself in a month or so. I've seen a herbalist for lots of natural liver cleanse things, which might help, but I'm wondering about dhea. I was taking it and I stopped to give my body a chance to stabilise hormone levels alone. I asked my clinic if they think the dhea is causing the cyst, they said unlikely. They were fairly ambivalent about whether or not I take it again.

Does anyone have any advice or experience of this? Ideally I'd like to start taking it again in preparation for a possible cycle in January.

Thanks for advice!

As far as I know, a functional cyst. Probably a follicle which didn't ripen and busrt properly. It's leeching oestrogen. That's what my clinic said.

No experience with this but i would wait that it resolves by itself rather than adding extra drugs to the body. Just my thought, I am quite aversive to drugs and think the fewer the better, especially if your clinic is not keen on those either. I had simple cysts in the past (so probably not what you had) that went away with the period. Good luck.. it can be so frustrating to cancel and postpone, but hold on there 🤞 xx

A lot of cysts come and go with your mentrual cycles. I had a "simple" cyst around my first cycle and it grew as my other follicles grew and Im pretty sure caused me to have some problems so reckon cancelling is the right thing I have no advice on whether DHEA is ok to till take or not but if your clinic think its ok then I would take their lead on this!xx
