Hi to you all. By any chance has anyone used DHEA? I was told about it today and I’ve never heard of it before. I’ve done some research and it’s a bit vague. Has anyone tried it and been successful

Yes I have and a few others on here have too. I don’t have fertility issues actually conceiving but I’m 38 and have had 2 mc so was looking for supplements to help with egg health and read on here about Dhea & ubiquinol. I researched and started taking dhea ubiquinol pqq zinc other vits for 3 mths I started taking royal jelly and maca I took last mth. I’m currently 5w not sure if the supplements have worked but will find out soon enough.

Hi hun thank you for your reply. I’m sorry for what has happened. But thank you for replying. I’m on my second course of icsi and I’ve been told about DHEA and I’m intrigued. I’ve been taking royal jelly and co enzyme I think it’s called that. I’m in bed atm but will double check in the morning. I have 8 follicles and one is too large to use 3 are between 10-16mm and four are between 3-6mm. I’ve been told they may abandon this course. So I’m thinking if they do then I need to make a plan as to what I change next time. Again thank you for your help and advice xx

Oh wow congratulations. Thank you for your reply. What is ubiquinol? Xx

Tbh I put all my hopes on these supplements working. Coq10 is ubiquinol but in an easier to absorb form.

Same here I used it mainly to improve egg quality as I too had 2 miscarriages and am 38. I was taking it for 3 months along with a few other natural supplements and I am now 32w! Who knows if it works but I can’t say it didn’t x

Ive tried it. I didnt get a pregnancy unfortunately however I felt my embryos were much improved. I did check with my NHS clinic at the time and they were happy for me to give it a go and actually recommend trying it now!xx

I've been taking it for 2.5months and have EC next week so I'll let you know! Although you should take for a minimum of 3months. Its not very expensive and worth a try. I'm taking for egg quality as didn't have any eggs fertilise last time out of 7 mature. Good luck x

Hi penny what side effects did you have? Also was this the first time you have tried it? Did you have failed cycles before? Congratulations on your pregnancy xx

It was the first time I tried it, I was on it about 4 months before my round. I was also on ubiquinol, vit d, vit c, iron and royal jelly to help with egg quality. It was my third round when it worked. Side effects - got greasy hair but other than that nothing xx

Hi, I tried it as my AMH is really low and I managed to get 3 blastocysts on my first round - who knows if it helped or not but the outcome was much better than I expected!!
