Feeling uncomfortable!

Just after a little bit of advice from you lovely ladies!

We got our BFP on Friday (happy dance!) so I am still using the pessaries. I am feeling quite bloated and uncomfortable. My lower belly feels so heavy, it feels a struggle just doing little bits and bobs, I’m knackered 🙈 and I think I’m a little constipated.

Is this normal? Any advice on how to ease it?

Thanks you lovely lot x

Hi

Congratulations! What joyous news on your BFP.

Yes thats normal and there may be plenty of it.... i have been v constipated and bloated. For me fybogel sachets help and a diet high in fibre. Also if your body is telling you to rest or nap then please do this. I was very fatigued early on...to the point my arms would ache washing up or putting the dishes away.... but the extreme tiredness does get easier as the weeks pass.

Symptoms are mixture of procedure, pessaries and pregnancy.

Wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy. Enjoy your experience.... dont dwell on symptoms cos there are plenty trust me hehe xx

As long as you dont bleed heavy or be in alot of pain you have nothing to worry about. If you are unsure of anything speak to clinic/gp/midwife. Look forward to your scans x

Thank’s for the reply! I shall be adding fybogel to my shopping list! The tiredness has definitely kicked in this weekend 🙈 xx

Boots do the 30 sachets (2 a day) for £7.50ish. Other supermarkets do only 10 sachet packs.

Fybogel tips! I like it 😂 thanks x

I’ll second what Masha111 has advised. I’ve also suffered with extreme tiredness bloating & constipation welcome to the joys of pregnancy! 😆 seriously tho rest when you can- I’ve found myself sleeping at 8! And congratulations on your BFP. xoxo 😘

Thank you ☺️ I shall take your advice and rest! Are you still working? They’ve been so good and I feel bad if I have to take more time off. xx

I did & work were very understanding & put me on lighter duties. And also allow me to take breaks whenever I need to.

From Friday I have been signed off doctors orders due to more spotting ( had a scan 10 weeks & all was perfect). The GP wants me bed rest until my 12 week dating scan Wednesday.

Get hubby to help around the house & don’t try to be a superwoman ( I’m not one to talk!)Take it easier 🙂 If you need time off work have it- you & the baby are more important. Work will cope without you! You’ve gone through a lot to get here, do what is right for you xoxo

Oh I hope you are resting! Remember that scan was perfect so hold onto that positive ☺️

Superwoman... what do you mean?😉

I have to keep reminding myself to not feel bad for taking time, like you said, our bodies have been through a lot!! xx

It sounds normal to me, plus the progesterone also causes bloating and constipation too. Get yourself some prune juice. It should do the trick 🤞🏻 xx

Hi CLN. Lovely to hear your news. Unfortunately one of the commonest side effects from using the pessaries is constipation. High fibre diet as Masha suggests and try the Fybogel which will keep you regular too. Some people prefer something like Lactulose, up to you to see what suits. Plenty of water too, and have that rest if your body says you’re tired, then you are, so feet up. Get your scan booked, which will reassure you. Hope all progresses well for you. Diane

Thank you Diane. I use to really like drinking water but I’ve noticed during this process I’ve gone off it🙈 I have the first scan booked in for the beginning of December. xx

Congratulations to you. I am so happy you got a BFP. Yes, all of the symptoms you have mentioned are pretty normal. My sister who recently had her first baby did go through all of these in the early stages. However, I will advise you to inform your doctor about this. So that she can give you vitamins and medications. Make sure to take super care of yourself. I hope everything goes smooth.
