Abnormal cell division ivf day 3

Anyone have abnormal clevage day 3 where cells missing a division step or too slow still 4 cell go on to have a healthy baby from them?

I don't know details but I do know that it's still very early days. They usually monitor until day 5 or 6 at least when they can and so much changes each day.

Thank you Camillage! Just nervous had a mmc last time transferring a day 4 compacting mogula. As that's the best we got at day 5. This time 16 eggs retreived 14 fertilized but using time lapse imaging shows strange division & left it to us if transfer day 3 or wait see if any develop for day 5. We decide to wait and see Saturday. Nervous same will happen & this abnormal clevage is what happened last time preventing full term pregnancy. Will sit & keep everything crossed.

I guess you could take comfort in knowing that most people don't have this much information. So will just be seeing snap shots rather than time lapse. Keeping everything crossed for you xxx

There is also the fact that we just don't know enough to be making calls about what's normal or not at this point, some clinics in US are getting great results from using embryos that they would have discarded before.

I’m not sure of details but my embryo was never grade 1 so never perfect on any day but I’m still 36 weeks pregnant with her.

Thanks Lizzie & congratulations!! They say because they haven't gone through the usual cell divide stages they like to see at each stage , some over enthusiastic & missing a step are not confident they wont have some issue to work through to life

Remember embryologist are making educated guesses. They don’t have crystal balls, so there’s still lots of hope.

Just an update.. have had two compacting morula put back day 5. Feels at moment history repeating where I had missed miscarriage week 9. Can't help feel the abnormal cleveage division is cause & genetically we can never have children!!! Terrified
