Today I started down regging for our second fresh cycle. Itโs also been the first weekend of me dipping my toe in the water and doing a few shifts back on delivery suite. One of my colleagues took me aside to say sheโd been thinking of me (it seems my IVF struggles have become common knowledge in the unit). She gifted me this beautiful homemade blanket that she had made recently when she had experienced a loss. Her very words were โit brought me so much comfort making this blanket. I want to give it to you and I want you to wrap yourself up in it when youโre struggling and I want you to give it to your baby when you finally have itโ. She also gave me the card with such a poignant message. It really is ok to not be ok and what we are all doing really does take strength and guts and we are doing a brilliant job!
I drove home feeling so much warmth and gratitude for all the beauty I do have in my life. Itโs so easy to forget the good when youโre swimming in the thick of it. This simple act of kindness has really made my day. So Iโm sharing those yummy vibes with you.
I hope youโve all had a a lovely cosy weekend, itโs been bloody freezing!

This is such a beautiful thing to do for someone. How lucky you are to have somebody as understanding as that in your work place. I would have been in tears ๐ญ It doesnโt take much to set me off these days ๐ xx
Iโve been practising daily doses of gratitude through this journey and Iโve decided this has been mine today. It may not be mine personally but the message on the card is definitely for us all. Thank you for sharing ๐ xx
So thoughtful, what a lovely gift! I welled up just reading you post so canโt imagine how emosh you were! Could do with a blanket like that right now xx
