So here I am sitting in this tiny stuffy waiting room again to see the doctor.
Arrived at the maternity unit to first be greeted by pregnant women smoking outside 😩 then as I walked in I saw an old school friend (who knows what’s happened this weekend) realising I had no way but to face her very pregnant belly head on she then proceeded to tell me that it’s a been a nightmare as she’s been ‘living’ here recently I couldn’t help but say well at least your babies alive, it just came out.
Why don’t people think before they speak, I just want to leave the hospital and go home to where I’m safe 😢💔

The world isn't a very thoughtful place hun. If only people thought and paid attention to what they did/said it would make a beautiful place for us all to live. Now a days people intentionally say things to hurt each other let alone any consideration towards an individuals circumstances...
I'm sorry you had to face this today, no one can understand you better than those who care for you.
Pregnant woman smoking really!?!😤😤😤 Life is so unfair and some people think they are doing you a favour by saying one thing when it does the complete opposite. Some are jerks. Some are innocently absent-minded. I understand why you'd want to hide under the covers.
She said what she said, best to let it go, focus on yourself and on healing and try not to let bother you. I know it's easier said than done. Lots of hugs to you

So sorry to hear this, how insensitive of your friend, especially as she is aware of the situation.
Don't feel bad about what you said to her, sometimes people need to hear the truth and maybe it'll make them think before they speak in future.
As for pregnant people smoking, I seen them continually at my clinic too and it honestly makes me see red. I get so angry about it!!! These people who don't care about their babies health, and people like us who wouldn't do anything to harm our babies. Yet we've been dealt the hardest journey to motherhood. It really is such a cruel world!!

Thoughtless people deserve responses like that maybe they'll use their brain next time and think before they speak. As for the smoking woman in my eyes should be classed as child abuse it's disgusting. You can't smoke around kids these days it's illegal so you shouldn't be allowed to smoke when your pregnant.
Just remember to take care of you and don't worry about what you say back to insensitive people they deserve it. Sending you big hugs and remember we're all here for you 💗🤗😘
Thank you all for the continued support, we have decided to have medical management again so will go into hospital at the weekend. As baby is developed and we heard their beautiful heart beating we want to have a service for them and if I had d&c that wouldn’t be possible.
I would honestly be lost without you all, it’s making such a different this year having people to turn to who ‘get it’ ❤️
Thinking of you at this horrendous time. I saw a heavily pregnant woman out the other day stroking her bump with one hand and holding a lit cigarette in the other. I was livid. I'm sorry to hear that your friend was so insensitive but good for you for telling her straight. Take care xx

As for pregnant people smoking - that’s just infuriating 😡 everyone here does everything they can to get happy healthy babies and then people do that! It really annoys me.

sometimes these people don't realise how much their comments can hurt and yes its all so bloody cruel when you are looking forward to something and then it's snatched away and shatters your dreams and it bloody hurts.

I hate the maternity wing of my local hospital. I've spent far too much time there considering I don't have a child. It's like being kicked in the face every time. I feel your pain.
I really hope that you had good care once you were seen by the doctor.
