What next after Chemical pregnancy

Hi all,

Had my 3rd FET and got a BFP but found out at our viability scan that there was no growth so Doctors said it was a Chemical pregnancy. I stopped all my medication on Tuesday but still waiting for my period. If anyone has been in this situation how long did it take for your period to come? Also how soon were you able to try again and did you do anything differently in your following cycle?

Thanks in advance!

Hi Rp. So sorry to hear this and hope you have plenty of support just now. This can take 4-6 weeks to return to what is normal for you, but can be sooner. Thinking of you. Diane

so sorry to hear. I think in my case my period arrived pretty quickly, just a few days after stopping meds….

I also think you can go again pretty soon - in my case once I got my period, my clinic were happy for me to try for another FET the month after.

Sending strength and good luck for next steps 💪🤞💫

I had my period the same week as my otd, I’d tested early than my period is was a bfn. I skipped that month then started my period the next month from what I remember. Got a bfp and a 3 year old from that and our next we’ve got a 8 month old boy from 💙💙 we used embryo glue with both of these, we thought we would throw a bit more at it as it’s be cheaper than a whole new cycle x

Sorry to read this. I’m my case my period arrived pretty quickly, just a few days after stopping meds. I think you can go again right away but it may be best to take some time to focus on yourself and let the body recover. Take the advice from your clinic.

Sending strength and good luck for next steps
