Success stories after chemical Pregnancy?

It’s only been a couple of days since I learnt of my chemical pregnancy, I’ve not been at work for the last three days just trying to get over this horrid period and also I don’t think I would be able to concentrate much! I just need to hear some positive stories about others that have experienced a Chemical and have gone on to have a successful pregnancy after?

I only had one funded cycle of which I’m very grateful for, but now we will have to pay for the next as we had none to freeze either. Money isn’t the most important factor as I would spend thousands to get the baby we want and deserve but it’s still a consideration as we might have to pay for a few more cycles, who knows.

Thanks for reading and for the support so far girls xx

So sorry😢

I had one last year & although it’s too early to tell if it’s successful I’m currently 6+4 weeks pregnant ( although it’s nerve wrecking so far so good)

Just because you lost this pregnancy doesn’t mean you will the next time.

Our fertility doctor ( our rock) told us we were just very unlucky & that there is no reason to suggest the next it would happen again. He also reminded us of the positives from a ghastly situation- he said through the dark cloud the silver lining is that you did conceive and this is positive. Sometimes with fertility issues half the battle is trying to get pregnant. You’ve done that ( I’m so sorry it wasn’t a happier outcome) It’s shown your body what to do.

Chemical pregnancy losses are quite common most women that have one will go on and have a healthy pregnancy 💓

It’s very early days & it will feel raw for sometime. Don’t go expecting too much from yourself. It’s a grieving process but you will come out of this the other side & fight again ❤️

Take as much time as you need there is no wrong or right here, it’s what feels right for you.

Put yourself first & know we are here for you xoxo

Jess you are amazing. Thanks so much for your lovely message. Just reading this makes me feel so much more hopeful and brought a smile to my face ☺️ Although I feel quite teary today I’m starting to feel like I want to get back to eating well, exercising again etc to fight the IVF battle again when we are ready. My husband said he wants to try again next month but I think it’s best to start in the new year. I’ll see...

Did you do anything different with this pregnancy? I wish you all the best by the way and I so hope this is your time 😘 xx

Thank you that is very kind of you to say.

I have endometriosis which is the cause of our infertility. My endometriosis regrew significantly after the loss. I had another 2 surgeries this year ( it was difficult convincing the medics my endo has regrown but that’s another story altogether!) The recent surgery was by an endometriosis specialist & although his bedside manner left a lot to be desired he was a good surgeon & he cleared my endometriosis out completely ( which no other surgeon had managed to due to the location) that helped us.

I also took a dose of clomid to “boost” our chances.

I took a simple Superdrug fertility/pregnancy all in one supplement daily & I took low dose aspirin-because my nk cells are slightly raised & my fertility doctor will only prescribe steroids during pregnancy & not for TTC. it’s also good to anti flame my endometriosis.I followed my anti inflammatory diet to try suppress my endo from regrowing ( mine recurs rapidly) so we had a chance to fall.

Apart from that didn’t do much else! I told myself if it didn’t work we had other options so we felt less under pressure.

It took me ( due issues with endometriosis)13 months to fall again. But it can happen 😘

I’m still nervous & desperately trying to enjoy being pregnant taking it one day at a time. I still check for blood each time I go to the toilet 🙈 & I’m testing regularly 🙈 hubby looks like I’m mad & doesn’t understand it 🤣I hope the fear eventually passes.

See how you feel there’s no pressure. You will know when you feel ready again 😘

Oh you poor thing, you really have been through it!! Endo is an awful thing to have to deal with. One of my close friends has is and some days she can't even move off the sofa! I am glad you found a good surgeon!!

I know the feeling of checking every time you go to the toilet! I found it so stressful, even more so than the '2WW'! I am sure everything will be fine for you :) When do you have your scan?

With our journey, it's a male factor issue which is why we have to go down the ICSI route. All my tests etc have come back fine and I responded well on the drugs etc. I was given a 60% chance of success mainly due to my age. So when I found out I was pregnant I was unbelievably happy! I just hope there is nothing else wrong that hasn't been detected. I want to get on with it as soon as possible so that hopefully I will get pregnant and stay pregnant but I think I need to get my body back to normal and try again in the new year. Plus we would be testing around our birthday's which might put a downer on things xx

I agree with everything that Jess said. I also had a chemical and my clinic said similar to me. For me, I had a bfn cycle following the chemical cycle and that really made it hit home and I don’t think I properly grieved until that point. But then my following cycle was a BFP and I’m now 23 weeks pregnant. There are loads of other stories on here about ladies with chemical pregnancies going on to have successful pregnancies later. It is an awful time and it will take time to come to terms with it but you will get through it. I found it hit me at random times, even several months later so don’t expect too much of yourself x

Thank you for your message and firstly, congratulations on your pregnancy, I’m wishing you all the best! 😘 thank you for your message, I love seeing that there is hope and success. I knew IVF (ICSI in my case) was going to be tough but not this tough! I can handle all the injections etc. It’s the emotional s*it that really gets you good! Oh well, onwards and upwards I suppose xx
