FET - top tips

hi all,

I am starting the hunt for LH Surge next week with my trusty pee sticks again, ready for another natural FET round.

For those of you that have been through a natural round... What are your top tips to get womb ready for the transfer?

Anything I can do over the next 2 - 3 weeks to help my chances?

Thank you

I haven't started my first cycle yet, but I am doing acupuncture. I'm not sure how far in advance you need to start it to get all the benefits though. I'm also taking a high quality, raw prenatal. I've been doing yoga a couple times a week and have increased my exercise, water and vegetable intake. Just basic optimizing health things. Other than that, I've taken a more relaxed approach to all of this.

I know many people try all kinds of things in hopes of gaining some advantage and "doing all we can". I totally get it and I've been there while trying to get pregnant naturally. However, for me, feeling like I may be able to control this experience if I just "do the right things" has led to more anxiety, which I'm sure negates any small advantage I may receive from them. My personal philosophy is if it's meant to happen, it will. I've taken the pressure off by giving up control.

I know this isn't what you were asking for, but wanted to share my perspective in case you found it helpful. I wish you the best of luck on your next FET!! X

Couldn’t agree more with this. I have found that obsessing hasn’t ever gotten me anywhere, it’s just made me miserable.

I did reflexology in the run up to my one before last transfer. Unfortunately I still had a bfn but at least I found reflexology very relaxing. It’s supposed to stimulate blood flow to the womb xx

Foodie23 Thank you both. The lack of control is hard. I am terribly organised and it really messes with my system, all this! haha. I will take more time off work this time and just hope for the best :)

I dont think there is anything that we can do, a few old wives tales etc like pinepple, brazil nuts but in all honesty I think its all just down to luck.....one big lottery this is! I would say just eat & drink healthily and do some gentle exercise to keep the blood flowing like walking.xx

I just ate a really good diet that included salmon, avocado, dairy and pomegranate juice in the run up. I also took pregnacare.

After the transfer I had a few Brazil nuts and pineapple chunks a day.

And like foodie said, acupuncture. I had one session before and one after the transfer.

I tried to be a bit more chilled with my fet and was lucky to get pregnant. This was after being a bit obsessive about eating things in my fresh cycle.

Best of luck. My tip would be to go home and watch a laugh out loud comedy after the transfer. It helped take my mind off it and kept me positive :)

Thank you and congrats on your BFP. I plan to take a few more days off work this time around and last time I went back to work after a day and it was way too soon, so Netflix comedies it is!

So sorry your cycle didn’t work out💔😢

I didn’t do IVF ( I had surgeries to treat endometriosis & did a round of clomid) so not sure it’s the same but thought I’d share my experience.

I took evening primrose oil from day 1 of my cycle to help lining until ovulation.

I also took low dose aspirin throughout the cycle to suppress my nk cells & endo.

Took a Superdrug fertility & pregnancy all in one supplement throughout the cycle.

I followed the anti inflammatory diet to suppress my endo.

And I ate 1/4 pineapple everyday from ovulation to when my period was due.

I tried to eat healthy but also allowed myself “treats”

I also allowed myself caffeine!!! No restrictions. 🤣

I watched comedy films every night to help me “unwind “ &

I told myself that we gave it our best & that had to be good enough!!! The rest was up to nature. Whatever happened we would keep fighting.

I can’t say what helped us the most get our BFP ( I’m 8 weeks) but think all played an important part.

I wish you the best & hope your next cycle brings happier news 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻✨✨❤️ xoxo
