OHSS! HyperStimulation of Folicles

Hi Everyone,

I’m currently on my second set of injections (Gonal f and Cetrotide) and have PCOS. I’m just out of my 2nd scan this week and Ive been told I’m at risk of too many Folicles ! I have about 20 on each side and some have grown to 10mm already! The doc put me on a low dose (112.5m) of Gonal F to start with as they need to keep a close eye on me but it’s been put up to 137.5m - probably 150m after today’s bloods . I’m incredibly worried that they are going to hyper stimulate and the round will be a failure !

The eggs need to be around 18mm before they will consider egg collection and I have 3 appointments per week. I also have sore ribs and feel bloated constantly. My brain and body are exhausted!

Oh gosh! That is a lot, no wonder you are exhausted.

I hope you don't have to cancel but your health is the most important thing. I hope you get things sorted asap and that you feel better soon. xx

I Clark2018. Oh dear! So sorry to hear this. It's the follicles that need to be 18 mm not the eggs, so they will be keeping a very close eye on you. Make sure you start drinking plenty of water, just in case. Good luck! Diane
