Gonal f not stimulating my folicle

IV been on gonal f 25 for well over a week folicle is still 10mm any ideas why my folicle isn't being stimulated nurse has drew blood today to check progesterone levels and is going to call me tomorrow to see if I need to up my dose xxxx

Hi!My body didn't respond well to Gonal F also. My 1st round I took Rekovelle had 6 eggs no embryos, 2nd round took Ovaleap had 15 eggs, 2 embryos and OHSS. But my 3rd I was supposed to take Ovaleap but I couldn't find it anywhere in my country so the changed to Gonal F. I started with 150, on day six of stims my follicles were small, increased dose to 200. But unfortunately we had only 8 eggs retrieved and 1 embryo. But I had OHSS again. I had many small follicles from my stims and even the doctor said that my body didn't liked Gonal F.

Thanks for replying , gonal was to strong for my body kept overstimulated then last month 25ml was enough for me this month the 25 isn't seem to be doing anything nurse said every cycle is different so , I'm just not sure wot to expect now hopefully they up my dose to morrow if my progesterone is to low maybe they could give me that progesterone thing I read about thank u for your message kitty Luna xxxxxx

hi, I’ve done 2 rounds of iVF now first one I was on ovaleap and it resulted in 9 good grade embryos 3 years ago. We used a different clinic recently due to living in a different country and they used gonal. I started on 150 but after base line scan it was hiked up to 600 a day as they said only 3 follicles. It was an awful cycle for me, after 11 days of 600 i had 12 eggs retrieved. We were told 6 embryos from them & still waiting for the results of the PGA testing. It’s my opinion gonal doesn’t agree with some people. My follicles struggled to develop on it then I ended up with OHSS because by egg collection I had 25 follicles but 13 were too small to produce an egg & my progesterone levels were through the roof so couldn’t do a frozen cycle. I wonder if you can ask for an alternative? xx

Thank you for your message Im almost ready to ask for another medication, I'm doing timed intercourse with ovitrelle and I'm actually thinking about IVF now for a long time I just don't understand why the treatment was overtimulating me at one point I had around 10 folicles on one side and 5/6 on othere now this time I seem to have 10mm it's just so confusing, at the min , I'm a awaiting a fone call today to see if I have to up my dose on gonal for my other scan on Friday , whilst they check my progesterone levels thanks so much for sharing your experience I really do appreciate it xxxxxx

have you ever suffered from pcos? I was diagnosed with it 8 years ago but soon after my underactive thyroid was discovered & treated and that seemed to sort it however I felt like when on the gonal it almost woke up it up. I might be wrong but I got so many little follicles and I also had dark hair come back in places it was before. It might be worth thinking about or discussing with your nurse. Good luck it’s so frustrating isn’t it. I would say if you’ve done the stim stage you will be fine with the iVF process the stim stage is definitely the hardest in my opinion physically xxx

Yes I actually have pcos will the doctor told me that few months ago during scan , yes. Starting to actually find the stimulation part hard , it's been almost a year now on medications and I had mentioned to my nurse yesterday I can feel my hair thinking and am getting severe migraines so I'm not sure if it could be linked thanks so much for your reply it is hard , xxxxxxx

My blood tests weren't back today so be tomorrow morning so had to take my regular dose of gonal f my head migrain feels likes it's coming back aswell xxxxxxx

Nurse just called me there everything progesterone looks okay just nothing happening? I'm so confused so I have to take my gonal f today and my scan is for tomorrow again , I thought they would of upped my dosexxxxxx
