Am day 11 in cycle for a modified natural FET. Scan this morning showed lining at 5.9 and one follicle at 10. Clinic require min 7mm lining and one follicle at 14. Next scan on Fri. Any top tips/wives tales for improving lining thickness over next 48 hours?? Been eating lots of protein (I do anyway), greens and whole grains. Tried some accupressure and fertility yoga at home last few days. Despite saying I was going to go with the flow this time, getting the impatience as the unknown of dates around work/childcare etc stresses me 🤣

To increase blood flow to the womb try some gentle exercise -walking ,swimming Fertility message is also thought to help increase the lining Eat more whole grain - bread brown rice /pasta and eat foods rich in Vit E such as almonds-peanuts -fruits like mango And vegetables esp green leafy ones and beetroot , avocado
I’m sure as the follicle grows you will see the lining thicken. 10mm is still very small and won’t be making much oestrogen yet.
I’ve tried all the tricks in the book. All together, in all my monitored/treatment cycles and I can’t really say anything particular works, I think it’s just luck from one cycle to the next, so don’t put too much pressure on yourself
This was a good reminder to me to let it just happen - thank you! I’ve only ever done a fresh from collection cycle and think I’ve been getting a bit frustrated with nothing really happening and all the waiting. But you’re right, there’s not an awful lot I can do to influence. I’m partly worried that it’s not going to get there in time and they’ll cancel but I guess if that happens it happens…
had scan today and not much change - lining has increased but only to 6.1 and follicle to 12. Another scan on Sun - bit worried it’s going to miss the window tbh as my cycle isn’t long but just need to go with the flow and see what happens. Thanks for all the good wishes and tips.
I’m sorry it’s not improved much but cross fingers for Sunday. 12mm still small and likely will jump in next 48hrs.
I’ve tried:
Daily walks - not too strenuous but keeping active
Yoga for lining
Always eat whole grain med style diet anyway and always good at staying well hydrated 2-3 L water daily (and I don’t have caffeine or alcohol anyway) but during prep make sure loading extra protein (whey protein smoothies), beetroot juice, full fat dairy, Brazil nuts, walnuts etc
Orgasms (at least that’s a fun one)
Heat packs on tummy daily during stims/lead up to FET
Generally keeping toasty in lead up and warming foods
High dose vitamin E (and L’arginine during FETs but not during fresh as can impact egg quality)
Fertility massage - also been taught by her to do a self massage that I do every evening in follicular phase in between appointments with her
Fertility acupuncture
On the more medical front:
Viagra pessaries
High dose of various combinations of oestrogen patches, tablets, vaginal
Sometimes thought that maybe something had helped but now on reflection back seems just random really.
Even during high dose stims with good E2 levels my lining often barely makes it to 6-6.5mm. And while I have had the occasional 8mm I do wonder if that’s because I’ve actually already had premature luteinization and rising progesterone in those cycles.
I think the only thing I have left to try is uterine PRP.
There can feel so much pressure on us. It feels like a full time job and the weight of responsibility to get that lining thick. So I hope you’re okay. Sometimes whatever you do it’s just the way your body is. I’ve heard of plenty with successful pregnancies with linings down to 4mm so let’s keep hope xx
Fab thanks so much! Doing quite a bit of that so will keep going in the hope it nudges it even a little. I’ve been trying caster oil heated packs and it’s def helping detoxify (!!) so must be doing something…
My slight worry is that I won’t get much above 6 either but that their minimum is 7, and that we might miss the window. Given that I’m 44 I wouldn’t have expected to be that thick naturally. Think this cycle just feels quite frustrating albeit easier from a ‘no Meds’ perspective. I don’t deal well with all the unknown ans timing uncertainty!
I’ve been trying the fertility yoga and lots of vit E and good food to help so will keep going with that as well as the water. I do quite a bit of exercise so have pulled it back to more gentle and kept my walks/ jogs. Fingers crossed! Thanks again for the encouragement!
How’s the TWW going? I finally got there - over 9mm this morning and 15mm follicle - after 5 scans! HCG trigger tonight - had an awards dinner and had to take it with me! Start progesterone on Sat and transfer next Thurs. thanks for all the tips!
