336 hours to go.....

Just come home from transfer and we have decided to plump for one rather than two embryos to go back in. Feel pleasantly surprised and lucky to find out that after 5 days the quality is top notch so both embryologist and us agreed better not to put all our eggs in one basket (sorry for the pun) and focus on one at a time. Feel very positive about the decision. I think.

Off work today so chilling at home ahead of going back in tomorrow- think it’s the only way I’ll stay sane. Is anyone else working through their 2ww- should I have booked it off??!!!

All the best with your 2WW hope it doesn’t drag.

Personally I worked through my 2WW ( it wasn’t IVF was clomid after treatment of endometriosis ) If I’d stayed at home I’d driven myself crazy 😜 it didn’t stop us from getting a positive test!

Fingers crossed for a BFP for test day 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻✨✨✨xoxo

Thankyou Jess!!!!

Hello! I have done both. It is a distraction to be at work but good to be able not to have to think about work if not working.

I will be embarking on my 2ww next week and this time, as I had holidays, I have booked the time off.

Most important thing is to try to relax (ha ha), and try to focus on visualising everything working.

Good luck xxx

Hi Ivy_38. Just waned to wish you well for a positive outcome with your little embryo. I feel you have made the right decision in going back into work, it will keep you occupied. Best to keep busy if you can during the 2WW. Good luck! Diane

Amazing! And great that you and clinic have decided together.

I worked right through and wished I didn't, for my next cycle I will book the 2 weeks off but we're all different.

Normally I never have time off even if I'm ill, I just plough through. I managed to work the 2ww but then took a week off a few days later. I drove myself to distraction and could not think straight at all.

I'd say, see how you feel in a couple of days and if it gets too much, see your GP and see if they will give you a sick note (I'm sure they will).

Good luck. xx

Thankyou! I’m the same with work: always on the go and always muddle through. The nature of my job also mean evenings and weekends are part of my normal working week. Think I’ll see how first few days go and take it from there.

That's good, you may find it helps you but you always have the option to not go if you need. You come first. xx

Hello! I had ET last Saturday and we got 3 really good blasts but were advised to only put one back. It was definitely the right decision for us. I took Mon - Wed off but going back in on Thur. Think it will help to think about sth else. Fingers crossed and good luck! Xx

I went back after transfer (was done on a Sat and went to work on the Monday) It was also the week of the bad snow in Feb/March so I walked in vs driving. Still got my BFP and work took my mind off things so don’t feel bad going back. Just over 4 weeks until my due date 😱. Fingers crossed for you x
