I’m currently on day 8 ivf, had a 7 day scan yesterday to check on my follicles and my lining of the womb was quite thick, but since last night I’ve had a bit of red blood spotting when wiping after being to the loo.
Today it’s not spotting just a brownish colour on the paper when I wipe and I’ve got cramps and just fell unwell. I contacted the ivf consultant on call and he told me to try not to worry and wait for my scan on Monday morning but I’m worried something has gone wrong. Can anybody help?
Thank you xx

No idea as it is my first ever ivf cycle! I’m hoping it’s not a period for some reason. It’s just a long wait until Monday morning to find out. Feeling terrible, and google doesn’t help.i had a scan yesterday morning and it looked ok xx
I know how you feel. Nicola I am the same day as yourself I am due for my scan on Monday morning. After you have the scan done it can make you bleed sometimes.
Thank you, it’s such a reassurance knowing there are others in the same position as myself that can at least offer answers or comfort. Good luck tomorrow, I shall keep you all posted with the outcome.x
I’m so glad for you. My scan went ok, my left ovary isn’t responding to the meds but I have 5 large follicles on my right side. I’m continuing meds until a further scan on Wednesday, hopefully egg retrieval Friday.xx
P.s. they put the bleeding down to the scan as nothing was showing.
Awww everybody responds differently to the injections. That sounds great that you are hoping to get your egg retrieval procedure on Friday. I am having IVF with PGD 😊
Yes indeed, really disappointed that they won’t get any eggs from my left side but I’m trying to be positive, quality over quantity! Good luck to you, keep me posted on you’re updates xx
Egg collection 8:30 tomorrow morning. Can’t believe we have got to this stage after the ups and downs. Left ovary still wasn’t responding but my right has responded well.xx
