After trying for 13 months I have been referred for a first gynaecology appointment.
I have PCOS but have previously had two consecutive blood tests which confirmed ovulation and my husband has previously provided a sperm sample which his doctors have said was “fine”.
Could anyone give me any idea what to expect at this appointment? Does my husband need to attend as well?
Thanks! Xxx

Hiya, I also have PCOS and have been to a couple of gynaecology appointments, all I can suggest is you both go, take your blood test results and his sperm test results, and then the doctor will have all the information he needs. I wasn’t examined on either appointment, just talked through everything. Good luck and hope it goes well xox
My husband came which was good but do warn him that, because so many of the next steps will be about investigating the woman that he might find they mainly talk to you. I wanted hubbie there for support but also to hear the options first hand so I didn’t have to try to remember and repeat back. They’ll probably offer you a dye test for your tubes and an ultrasound of your womb.
