Iβve been pretty quiet on here since our BFN at the beginning of August. π. As most of you will know, going through this is more than devastating.
But due to this very sad result It made me determined to try and take a bit of control back and try to boost our own chances outside of IVF. Therefore I set to work on researching for hours on end about what we could do as a couple to a) improve egg quality and b) improve my partners sperm count and quality as he was diagnosed Oligospermic!
So in the last 2 months we have cut out caffeine, drank zero alcohol, maintained 2 litres of water a day, avoided processed food, maintained our exercise and my partner has taken the following supplements :
300mg Ubiquinol
100mg Zinc
2000mg vitamin c
Multi vitamin for men
As a result of this, here we are 2 months later and his latest results show he is no longer Oligospermic, he just seems to have a slightly lower than norm level motility! We are blown away by the improvement! And all because we did our own research and changed our lifestyle ourselves! This information should have been provided to us years ago from the medical professionals!
So I thought I would write the good news story I was searching so hard to find a few months back! You really can change the Sperm count and quality yourselves.
We will continue to do what we have been doing and hereβs hoping we actually get a chance naturally before attempting our second IVF cycle!
Xxx

That is great news, well done. Do you mind sharing how bad his count was before and after you did the changes? Like was it only something like 2M/ml or only just oligospermic like 13M/ml?
OMG that's amazing. Mine has 8M and we weren't told anything could help it! That is after supplements but nothing else. Just done first round of ICSI with OTD tomorrow so if it is negative I will be showing him your post!
We did ICSI two months ago and unfortunately nothing! We have been told nothing, no suggestions as to what could help us, we were just told ICSI by the so called medical professionals and I was so beaten by the last failed cycle I felt I had to take back control.
The improvement is based solely on lifestyle changes and supplements! We should be told this as it gives us a fighting chance!
This is really good news, i did the same except used condensyl instead of all the other vitamins. Im struggling on sperm morphology and motility so if you have any ideas send them my way please π° x goodluck in your journey xxx
Excellent news, well done. Nutrition and lifestyle etc makes such a difference and what a win for you that it's all paid off. You must be very chuffed. x
Thatβs amazing what a different & well done to your hubby π mine couldnβt even remember to take conception vitamins!!! Anyway good luck with the trying hope to hear happy news from you soon β¨β€οΈ xoxo
This is great news! I've just written a post around waiting for optimum sperm and egg health so will advise my dh to take these supplements. It's insane we have to painstakingly research this stuff ourselves but hopefully the fact that you did will bring you the dream you've been hoping for! Good luck lovely! Xx π
This is great news congrats, my husband took proxceed for his motility and morphology and within 3 months they had improved massively which I believe led to our natural pregnancy.
Thank you lovely, Iβll get this ordered as it seems motility is the only remaining issue to tackle. So amazing that you conceived naturally. Was male fertility your original problem? Iβm praying hat we get the opportunity to conceive naturally
We were unexplained but husband had motility issues and I had a lowish AMH. I took the female version of proxceed as well amongst other natural things and something did the trick! We had previously tried IVF and failed so the natural pregnancy was a welcome surprise! X
