Low E2 levels on day 12 stimms

I’m on day 12 of Gonal F and had my 4th scan and set of bloods done this morning. Gutted to hear that I only have 2 follicles above 18mm, 1 medium and a few still tiny. It’s taking foreeeeever and the meds are making me feel awful. The hospital just phoned to say my E2 numbers are only 846. Is that super low for day 12? I’m back in on wed for another scan and more bloods but they said egg collections probably won’t be until next week as the follicles are developing so slowly. The thought of this dragging on for much longer is making me weep

I've got no advice on the E2 levels I'm afraid.

Don't worry about your follicles they will catch up 😊

Oh the meds really take it out of you, I haven't had gonal F as part of my treatment but the build up to EC became very uncomfortable with bloating and pain. Hang in there, sweetheart!

Is this your first EC?

Can the clinic advise on managing the symptoms?

It feels like an age! Yes this is first round for us. To be honest it’s been much tougher than I expected, this past week especially. At the moment I can’t imagine being up for doing any more rounds if this one isn’t successful but I know I don’t need to think about that now.

Oh wow hun that seems like a long time to be on gonal f, what dose are you on? My last round I only stimmed for 9 days on gonal f I was on 225 daily. I'm currently on my second round on the same dose and I know it knocks you round a bit I took my first dose last night and it knocked me out slept for 12 hours! And the headaches 😣 I know everyone is different, bit Maybe they need to up your dose? I think the max you can take is either 300 or 400 daily xx

I’ve been on the max dose (300) for the last 5 days. Feeling so nauseous and run down and bloated and emotional.

Oh you poor thing I know these Meds make you feel awful I can't imagine being on it as long as you have. I hope your follys catch up soon and you can get off it and have a successful egg collection xxx

Poor you! I was actually on more than 300 gonal f with menopur as well, so although that might be the max dose for you this round, there’s hope that if you do go again they will change things. It’s amazing how soon you feel well again (unless you’re pregnant and sick!) I promise.

Sorry to hear the drugs are making you feel awful. I can’t remember my numbers but my E2 Level was also slow to rise so they added in menopur to my Bemfola (like gonal-f). It did the trick but I was on stimulation drugs for about 16days in total but we got 11 eggs collected in the end. Xx

Oh that’s good to hear. I hope they’ll catch up soon. It’s hard to have been doing injections for over a month with nothing to show for it yet.
