Has anyone tried APAS?

Hello! It’s been awhile since I last posted on this forum. Now, Im back for another set of IVF treatment for our last frozen embryo. Anyway, a friend of mine suggested that I should try having myself check first for Antiphospholipid Antibody Syndrome (APAS) prior to embryo transfer because it worked for her (she finally gave birth after failed IVFs) It’s kinda common practice here in our country (Phils) although my Fertility Doctor doesnt believe in APAS. My question is, has anyone tried taking this route?

I'm sorry I've not tried it but didn't want to read and run. Best of luck with your upcoming treatment x

Hi mrcajita28. Checking for anti-phospholipids is often reserved for multiple failures and repeated miscarriages. If found it is usually treated with low dose soluble aspirin, heparin and possibly prednisolone, which are the more common forms of treatment. Perhaps your specialist might just agree to the aspirin and heparin, I don't know. Worth asking, as some ladies are prescribed those even on a second attempt of IVF/ICSI. Good luck! Diane
