Yes read this the other day...im in new zealand. I personally wouldn't even work for a company or anybody who didn't think people should have time off to grieve!!! I couldn't imagine it

3 days isn't fair.....there was a lady that posted on here the other day saying she was put under review for taking sick leave after her miscarriage!
I was shocked.
Xxx
Oh gosh that is horrible!!! I would have went to my doctor and get a note then that would be illegal for them to do. Gosh some people have no idea. I have never even been pregnant but my gosh I was upset enough at my first round failing...i couldn't imagine what a miscarriage must be like. How heartbreaking 😢
Xx
I was lucky last year that myself & my husband had holiday leave already booked when I had my miscarriage so I didn't have to go back to work straight away, or spend any time alone at home by myself. I can't imagine having to do either. I hope if they did bring it in in the UK, they would also consider leave for partners. My husband was just as upset as I was - I can't imagine that either of us would have been able to go back to work the next day
Fortunately many companies in the UK are sympathetic to women who have miscarriages, but the issue of the fathers is largely ignored. It would be great for them to be entitled to some time off.
our gp was fab and signed us both off for 3 weeks then we had a weeks leave. .there was no way I could have worked even now 4 months on I am still struggling xx
