So a little update from me...after our last wtf appointment ended with a 'well give it another shot with a long protocol but you prob need to look at other options' I understandably struggled with this and me and hubs decided to just live our lives and see what will be. I still had this niggling feeling though...how can this be our prognosis when no one has really looked 'inside me' properly? π€ so I made a self referral to an excellent gynaecologist who was recommended and specialises in fertility treatment too and I was soon booked in for a laparoscopy and hysteroscopy. Yesterday she found and removed endometriosis!!!! Despite me seemingly having no symptoms! I have a proper follow up this week but she already said this increases our chances of conceiving naturally by 40%. So recovering now...had to stay in overnight as couldn't wee so had a drip and now much better. But can not believe this turnaround when I'd basically been written off! Feeling much more positive now! Totally new to endometriosis though - any questions you ladies think I should ask at my follow up this week? Thanks xxx
Have I finally found some hope? - Fertility Network UK
Have I finally found some hope?
Wow! Hope you're feeling better after op. Not a nice thing to go through but how fantastic that they found something and were able to act on it. This is hope indeed!! And your chances are completely different now. Good luck for you feel ready and start trying - how exciting! Xx
Great news you have a better chance now π xxx
Here's hoping π€ππThanks lovely xxx
Well done for getting this done. The endometriosis Uk site on here is very helpful.
Thank you! Will give that a look as I'm recovering over the next couple of days xx
Do take it easy lovely. I found recovery from my laparoscopy was harder than I expected. Oh and keep your compression stockings! Mine are coming in very handy now Iβm pregnant and have developed horrible varicose veins xxx
What a ray of sunshine! Wishing you all the best in your recovery and journey for a baby!
Out if interest, was is a private gynae you saw? x
Hi hun.
I hope you are recovering well π
I have endometriosis also; Iβve had my third lap last month.Feel free to ask questions on endo & post lap.
Endo UK is great for advice & support. ππ»It is an incurable disease but can be managed with diet & treatments medications or surgeries.
Look into the anti inflammatory diet it has really eased my symptoms. ππ»
I take various supplements to help fertility & endo. Bee propolis is said to be very helpful for ladies with endo & TTC ; a study showed 60% of endo sufferers conceived using it ππ»
I also use progesterone cream twice daily between days 8-26 endo ladies have lower progesterone levels. My fertility doctor has authorised I take progesterone pessaries during early weeks of pregnancy as well as prednisone ( I have slightly high NK cells)
I managed to conceive after my first lap after 6 years of not being able to conceive! Itβs definitely possible πI did miscarry but I see it as progress. And we know the cause which is better not knowing was more stressful. It is sad itβs not a standard test for infertility π€¦π½ββοΈ
We are in our first cycle of trying since my lap.
All the best for you hope it brings you a positive test π xoxo
Thanks Jess for all the details in your post! Very thorough and I will ask her about the things you've mentioned on Thursday and look into them myself too. I'm sorry you miscarried and sending you lots of love and luck for this cycle! Xxx
Hopefully this helps you to achieve your dream. It's actually nice when you feel like something has been found to help! Rest up and take it easy!xx
Hidden Go away!!
Sorted! xx
Thanks Diane, was not in the mood and this irritating person was commenting all over the shop! They are so annoying and even had the cheek to follow me when I told them to back off!x
So bad - she was commenting on such sensitive posts too this morning - so cruel! Go Diane! xxx
