Hi, are you talking in terms of IVf, or trying to conceive naturally? I can only share my experience - we were so lucky and the IVF worked first time, I was 40 on the day that we got our BFP x

Thats the stat I got given of IVF when I was 39 almost 40! Well depressing! We opted for donor eggs instead which upped the stats a lot although I appreciate that's not for everyone!xx

I think it depends on what other elements are involved.....if there are underlying conditions etc?? Not sure what others think....

I assume this is for natural conception. Re ivf, I was told that at 39, 85% of my eggs would be abnormal in some way. Combined with my partner’s 50% abnormal sperm, this gave us a 17.5% chance of getting a healthy embryo through ivf. That’s what we got, and I got pregnant at 39 1/2 with our one viable embryo.
