Ive been reading lots of posts and it seems that 1st IVF attempts are often unsuccessful so am feeling a little disheartened as we won't have another chance....I am currently 4dp5dt with a 4BC blastocyst and am so grateful to have reached this point.
Unfortunately we didn't have any other embryos to freeze (we had 6 eggs but only 2 fertilised and the other one didn't make it to ET) Did anybody else have similar circumstances that resulted in a BFP?!...π€πΌπ

I think it's just down to good luck and everything coming together at the right time. I had a 4bb transfered which sadly ended in a bfn. It just wasn't ourtime xx
Sorry it didn't work out for you first time Mrsgled π Do you have any frozen or will you try again with a fresh cycle? It's not an option for us sadly x
Next go will be a fresh cycle. 4 of the 6 eggs collected made it to blasto with the best going back. The embryolgist said the remaining ones would not have coped with the freezer so they didn't freeze them. It's a bit sad really. Good luck xx
Congrats emmab! ππΌ I'm just over 40 now so well over the hill and know my chances are slim but least we have done everything we can so just have to hope for a miracle! π€πΌX
Thanks that's given me some hope! My AMH was low also. Could kick myself for not starting IVF sooner but I do believe what will be will be so just trying to stay optimistic and hoping we are blessed x
14 + 1 today and have hit the cry at everything stage!! I swear my husband thinks aliens stole his wife and left me in her place!!
Feel free to message me if you like, happy to answer any questions. I must state that I had DE IVF as after 4 years of trying naturally with my own eggs, I didn't want to muck about given my age. I am convinced my positive was due to this but that doesn't mean it can't be achieved on your own. Every woman is different and you have come this far which is amazing xxx
Hi before I started this journey I knew of two couples personally that had had IVF. Both first timers. Both successful one had twin boys another one daughter. It does happen. Fingers crossed for you x
Great to hear so many positive stories thankyou all so much for sharing! It has given me more hope and made me feel that there is a chance even though statistically the odds are against us!....We waited so long until we finally decided to start IVF as I was convinced it would happen naturally!...We had both been checked out and there was no medical reason for it not happening but I knew time was running out once I reached 40....by that time my AMH was very low and unfortunatly wasn't available on the NHS anymore so this really is our one and only chance especially as we don't have any frozen as our other embryo didn't make it....π My OH believes if it is meant to be it will be so I am just hoping beyond hope that we get a BFP in 7 days time! π€πΌSorry for the essay but it really has made me feel better knowing I'm not alone! Thankyou all again so much for your support and wishing you all lots of luck on your journeys! π
I live in a market town, population of around 10,000. Anyway I personally know of 3 women in town who's ivf (one's a surrogacy and one had twins) worked first time! My first round didn't work first time (just my luck I guess lol) but I got a bfp second time and a bfp this time. xx
