So I started taking coq10 last month. I've just finished 1 bottle (30 capsules) it says high strength coq10 350mg gel caps. I take 1 at night with my dinner. Now my period which is normally on time is now over 7 days late. I've had cramping for the last week like in get right when my period starts, but not bleed? I thought for sure last night when I got bad cramps again and when I wiped was a bit of pink thinking when I woke up af would be here. But nope and more cramps?!!
Has anyone had this happen? Im suppose to start my 2nd round of ivf next month and thinking nowmive screwed everything up by taking these supplements. It's like af wants to come but can't?! I'm usually so regular but freaking out now 😣

I've done 2 pregnancy tests now I'm definately not pregnant. It's freaking me right out as Google is saying some woman missed their periods for months! I might contact my clinic tomorrow and see what they say
I took coQ10 with no problems at all. I don't think they are strong enough to disrupt your cycle, as they are only for cell reproduction & quality. As Ash16 says, perhaps take a pg test? xx
Yeah I'm definately not pregnant I've took 2 tests. It's just so weird I've never ever had this happen at anytime during my life. Such bad cramps too it's really worrying me
Perhaps if its the only thing you've changed then worth coming off them? I've never heard of them having that bad an effect, but then you never know - we all have different bodies. Do you have any underlying health conditions? Did someone recommend coQ10? To be fair, I just started taking them because of what I read in nutrition studies. I'm not sure they had too much of an effect on me. Hope you get it sorted xxxx
Thanks Lilli79 yeah it's really strange I've got like full on af cramps but no af! I only started taking them like you as I thought it might help with my next round...had 15 eggs..14 mature 11 fertilize through ICSI yet only had 1 decent blastocyst none good enough to freeze, so asked my clinic and they said sure you can take it won't do anymore harm and may help. Now I don't know if it's my nerves ramping up for next round as much as I want to do start the next round..i know how hard and stressful it is.
Thanks for your reply, still not sure what to do might email my clinic thanks tho xx
I usually take coq10 low dose no probs that I’m aware. I’m switching to ubiquinol when they arrive. I keep miscarrying I’ll try anything.
Hiyah. When did you have your first round of ivf? My periods were delayed the following two cycles. I've ysken coq10 too but it didn't change my cycle length x
Hey this happened to me a couple of years ago when she was trying natural, I was trying everything under the sun 🤣 this capsule set me back a week too, my af always comes like clock work. I stopped taking them, from what I remember the next month went back to normal, did the same with pregnacare tablets. 🙄 x
Hi Niki, I Hope you are doing well. It has been a few years since your issue with coq10. I started taking coq10 600 mg 1 month back and this is 2nd month and I am already 1 week late. Not pregnant at all. Stopped taking coq10. I also have IVF planned for next month. Can you please let me know your experience? What did your doctor say and was your IVF delayed? I am also freaking out right now.
Hey hun it was 5 years ago...and having a toddler running around my brain is mush lol 🙈 I don't think my ivf was delayed....it must have come eventually because I don't remember a delay. But all the best to you and lots baby dust your way 🥰❤️❤️😘
I’m reading your comments about Ubiquinol CoQ10 that made your period delayed. I’m in the same situation, always regular cycle and since I started those supplements it late for 4 days. I’m scared and not sure should I stop them?
As above hun I can't remember if I stopped them or not....but my period did come just can't remember how long sorry. Yours will come eventually not to worry, and all the best sending baby dust to you ❤️
I am taking 200mg coQ10, 3 times a day as per my consultant to support egg protection (low egg reserve) and to support increasing my cycle length as short variable cycles. My cycles have been getting a little longer and have had 1 at 7 days late. I cannot comment on delay to IVF as we are just being referred onto this next stage but taking coq10 was identified as something that could aid increasing my cycle length.
Hope you managed to continue your journey without disruption.
Oh I know how hard it is hun, and so not fair! But hey don't give up! Have a read of my bio...I still can't believe after all the ivf and miscarriage....that I fell pregnant naturally! I found out 2 weeks before my 40th bday! So believe me when I say it can and will happen just hang on and keep pushing through! 🥰 I hope you get your miracle too very soon 🤞❤️💞
