I am feeling so sick from yesterday as can not eat anything and the food which was my favourite now I hate it and anything I about to think to eat I feel like it will come out and have something bad taste and v bad situation and I am only 6 weeks, I don't know what should I eat as it seems anything i eat it will come out .... please share
I've heard ginger can help with sickness. Try having ginger tea before a meal- you can buy this or just put some chopped ginger in some boiled water. Keep your food plain I.e. toast and see if you can hold that down before trying anything new. Hope your pregnancy is going well and at least you have a clear symptom everything is okay in there xx
Thankscc2018, I am worst in having tea but I will try Ginger tea. Yes hopefully everything is ok . I wish everyone will have soothing pregnency including me ..Xxxx
Ironically not eating anything can make you feel worse even though it feels like the right thing to do. Whilst you are in your first trimester if you don’t fancy ‘healthy’ food don’t stress about it, just try and eat small and often whatever you happen to fancy (or what makes your stomach churn less at the thought of eating it). I went through a phase of eating ready salted crisps and lucozade (full sugar type to keep my energy up). Good foods to try tend to be ginger, melon, dry plain biscuits, mints.....the internet has lots of ideas. Personally eating a dry plain biscuit before I got out of bed in a morning wasn’t for me but I found an apple was best. Have a play around, you’ll probably find the feeling of needing to be sick doesn’t get worse after eating like when you are ill (although I’m not saying it’ll get better either unfortunately). If you start not eating or more importantly drinking enough due to how bad you are feeling it’s time to go see your GP. Hope you feel better soon x
Thanks lovefood1984, it was nice to read such a detailed answer about food and eating habits in pregnency, I will try to eat whatever I feel like to just for the sake of energy🙂
This is morning sickness. It doesn’t just happen in the morning. If you can’t keep anything down you should see the doctor, you may need medicine. Otherwise, try eating bland (white) foods like potatoes, porridge and ready salted crisps. Little and often is best- don’t let yourself get hungry. Try ginger biscuits too, and some women find those seasickness wrist bands work. Get lots of sleep- sickness is worse for me when I’m tired.
Thanks Lizzie for such an informative msg, I force myself to eat as I hate eating it seems it will come out but still I am eating, it's morning 7:30 and 🍎 Is there infront of me and I am watching, heheh can't dare to touch it but v soon I force myself to eat it. Hope your journey will be soothing including meXxxxx
We got pregnant at about the same time and I am also off food. I feel nauseous and don't fancy eating anything though I'm probably not as sick as you as I haven't actually been sick. My Chinese herbalist gave me a special massage to help my appetite, and it did help, but then I only seemed to fancy junk food. I ate crisps, which I never eat! But she told me not to worry too much about what I eat and just eat what I fancy.
When I was trying to get pregnant, I had a really healthy diet with lots of salads and vegetables. I've always preferred vegetarian food but I was eating meat regularly as I know that protein is essential for growing a baby. However now the thought of meat makes me want to be sick! I was eating all fresh food before, but today the only kind of chicken I thought I could eat was in a readymeal so I bought that. I'm trying not to be too hard on myself as I think it is ok to get the nutrients you need over a week rather than having to have them all every day.
I agree with the other poster about porridge. It is also recommended as a good food for the first trimester. Plenty of fruit, veg, wholegrains and protein (chicken meat and a little bit of fish each week) are also recommended, but I reckon my baby is going to be vegan as even writing about meat makes me feel sick!
Orange juice is good for folic acid, I think. I've been making my own lemonade as I find that drinking is easier than eating.
Thanks forMoira I also feel craving for having potato chips 🍟 or KFC, I usually do not eat them, I haven't made chicken from many weeks and I haven't eat meat fish etc anything except bread with something and force myself to eat but today I bring some tamarind lollies at work and while sucking them I don't feel sick, probably I get some chips too, that's the worst food I ever eat.. hope our journey stays smoothXxxxx
Oh great, I'm so glad your scan was also ok. I don't know much about these things but imagine it is too early to be concerned about the weak heartbeat. The main thing is that it looks ok and has a heartbeat.
