Why is it, that with going through IVF we cannot ever just enjoy.

So I’m 5w today, bfp yesterday and scan booked for August 1 and yesterday and today there is light spotting. It’s red, real red but it’s barely there. Enough to cause worry!

Will just keep an eye on it I guess. Hospital says if it’s not flowing then it’s nothing to worry about so fingers crossed I make it to the scan and the scan is good.

Pretty terrified - just want this baby to stick. Thought after the positive test it was my turn. Grrrr!

I had bright red bleeding at 5 weeks as well, it only lasted a day, my clinic were amazing and got me in for blood tests as it was too early for a scan, they called me after the first bloods to say my hcg levels were high enough to do a scan the next day, they're wasn't much to see but could see the sac on the screen and all was well, I'm now 10 weeks pregnant. The bleeding gave me such a fright so I can understand how anxious you must be feeling, stay positive and if possible relax and put your feet up. Sending you lots of positive thoughts 😘 Xx

Good luck with your pregnancy Hun, hopefully the spotting stops very soon & all looks good at the scan. I understand what your saying about not being able to enjoy the pregnancy. I'm 19 weeks & still petrified it's gonna go wrong. I do buy baby bits etc & feel happy then tell myself not to take it for granted, I do my own head in big time! Wishing you a healthy pregnancy x

Fingers crossed it goes well for us both Hun. I just can't believe how stressful this journey is after we get our BFP. Totally underestimated that one! 😘 x

I had three big bleeds between weeks 5 and 7, extremely heavy bleeds with clots too. Absolutely convinced the pregnancy had ended. My gyno confirmed otherwise and said you can sometimes bleed due to sensitive cervix or one of any number of other reasons. Anyway, my son is now 5 so all went well xxx

Infertility does just suck the joy of it. I had a red bleed just days after my BFP too. Scary AF. I ran out and got digital HPTs that said the number of weeks and I also ordered two HCG bloods tests from MediChecks to check my own HCG because the clinic wouldn’t do it (I also asked the GP and they did HCG test for me).

Try to relax and fingers crossed for you. Hope it’s your time now!

Thanks so much. I’m doing a whole lot of sitting. I may call the doctor and ask for a blood test but they aren’t awful willing.

Congratulations!! Just take it easy, no running around, I was put on bedrest and increased progesterone and it stopped the same day. Activity makes it worse. I was spotting for a few days while at home then bright red blood when I popped to the shops for literally 5 mins, wasn’t a lot but bright red xxx

Congratulations! Try not to panic, I had LOADS of spotting, for weeks, and I'm now 27 weeks - there can be so many reasons for it xx

Really sorry to hear you’ve had spotting how stressful for you especially after all you’ve been through. Can you get GP/ fertility clinic to run HCG blood tests? It seems a long time to wait until the scan. P.s lots of women bleed in early pregnancy and the baby is okay. My sister bled heavily like a period at 5 weeks and thought she was having a miscarriage; instead she had my lovely niece 😍 Got everything crossed for you 🤞🏻 Rest up and take it easy hopefully it’ll settle down 💞💞💞 xoxo
