Hello everyone I'm just wondering if anyone here has fibriods and was able conceive naturally. We have done 2 failed ivf and 1 failed iui. I just want a bit of hope.

Hi Abbie, I was told by my GP that I had fibroids in 2012 - but the fertility clinic never mentioned it in all their millions of scans....

I got a BFP but still very early days.

Maybe mine are just small I have no idea.....interested to see what other ladies on here say with fibroids....

Apparently a large percentage of women have them in some form....

Hi Abbie

I have never conceived naturally but was told that I have 1-2 large intramuscular fibroids which have stopped me conceiving naturally. Also Fibroids are known to cause pregnancy issues like premature delivery etc. MY DH and I have been told by a private fertility clinic to batch frozen embryos, have the fibroids removed and then do an embryo transfer at a later date. The NHS have told me, they are not willing to remove the fibroids seeing as I'm already 46 and they will shrink with menopause....you acn guess the reason why we went private. NHS knew I had fibroids six years ago but DECIDED that they weren't life threatening but failed to tell us that was what was stopping us from falling pregnant despite the fact that we tol them we were TTC.....Useless nevermind what's!!!

Research you options, but never lose hope!! Good Luck

I’ve had 2 cycles with my fibroid which one was an early mc and the second one a BFN. I have a submucous fibroid that I had removed on Tuesday leading up to my 3rd cycle because I’ve had abnormal bleeding. I can try our last cycle of IVF on my next bleed. I’ve had 12 yrs of TTC and trying to get uterus as welcoming as possible. At first clinic told me not to remove the fibroid but because it has been causing so much bleeding they said to get rid of it. It only measured 1.5cm but was right in the middle of my uterus. Hope this works.

Good luck to you. Some people like my mom and aunt had fibroids and never had them removed and was able to have 5 kids and 3 kids respectively.
