Looking to hear other people’s stories. Just starting my 3rd cycle (2nd frozen). Not taken any time off work and really struggled emotionally. I’ve just today got a sick line for work and feel really guilty about it!!!!
Wondered how others managed this

Hi, I'm the same as you. Currently on 2ww on 3rd attempt (2nd Natural FET) last time I didn't take any time off, infact I had transfer in morning and then worked from home in afternoon.
This time I was lucky my transfer was a Saturday and I called in sick on the Monday just to give myself a little more time to relax.
I suppose it might depend on how stressful your job is but I felt fine to work on 2ww and it is a distraction in some ways.
You have to look after yourself and if you need time off then take it.
Yeah it is difficult to know. Hope it works for you. Got a pretty stressful job so wanted to give it a try without that stress but feel terrible about it x
Mine ended in a chemical and now I'll always wonder if I did something wrong going back to work. My boss actually told me next time to take it off and do nothing. Better not to have any regrets and feel you've done all you can, don't feel guilty xo
Thanks. That’s what I though but felt bad as I’m never off and not actually ill. But as you say every time it goes wrong you do wonder what was wrong x
So I would have driven myself mad if I took any time off work...well I had two days off after my transfer but that was it
Personally it was better for me to go to work and keep busy and I’m a nanny to 3 children and was just looking at them feeling this is all I want for myself but for me it was the best decision
If I stayed home I would have been anxious and stressed constantly thinking has this round of ivf worked.
But if you have a stressful job it might be best to stay at home I’m sure you will make the right decision
Hey! I would be feeling exactly the same, im on my second week of my supercur injections and im already worrying about having time off during the 2ww as i would feel so guilty i work in a busy day care nursery in the baby room and just thinking about needed time off is stressing me!
But from all the support and advice ive recieved theres nothing more important then what i want out of this ivf journey so give your self the best possible stress free time and dont feel guilty. Im giving this advice but not sure if i would be able to follow it haha my manger is off end of july and i think thats when my ET will be and im also deputy manager so that wont go down well... any tips for me? 😅☺️ Goodluck with your journey xx
On my second I was like you doing loads. I was out painting fences and getting my garden tidied. The more it goes on now the more I realise I need to calm it down, you should do the same 😂😂😂x
I took time off just before my last injection day and could relax before egg collection so definitely would recommend to take some time off if you can.It helps to clear your mind amd you have time to pamper yourself xxx
