Progesterone levels ‘normal’ but no BBT rise or OPK

Hi I’m hoping for some advice! I had a 21day blood test (actually 33 days as my cycles are irregular) and my progesterone level results were normal. This has surprised me as I’ve been charting my temp and doing OPK and they are suggesting no ovulation has occurred this month. I have been using that method on and off for 8 months and I’ve found it accurate in the past for the months I’ve been consistent.

I’m very confused! I will be having a telephone consultation with the doctor later in the week to hopefully explain but I’m getting impatient. Could it be possible that my charting is totally off and I have ovulated? It just feels like wishful thinking :(

Hi there - I don’t know the answer but am going through something similar and have been googling a lot. Have a read up on hormonal imbalances - your progesterone could be ok but you could have estrogen dominance. I hope you get some good advice from the docs xxx

Sorry to hear you’re having the same troubles! I’m finding it so frustrating having such long cycles and the constant waiting for what feels like nothing when it seems I’m not ovulating regularly. I’m having another blood test on day 5 when my period finally arrives so maybe that will have some more helpful info. I can’t remember if they were testing for estrogen with the previous bloods but I’ll be sure to ask the doctor! Thank you, hope you get some good news too xx
