Advice about pessaries

I’m on 400mg cyclogest. I put one up the back in the morning and two at night.

I put one up the back passage this morning about 9 and when I went to the toilet at 2:45 not for a poo I popped’ 🤦🏼‍♀️ there’s hiding nothing on this ivf journey. So when I popped some of the white pessaries came out. Is this normal? Is my body absorbing the progesterone?

Xx

Hi there, dont worry its quite normal for the white residue to come out of front or back way. I have found the same as you ( sometimes ot comes out with a pop or poop (sorry tmi). But I think most of it is absorbed within. If it continues to happen, check with the dr and get progesterone levels checked too. X

He progesterone is absorbed within 20-30 min so you’re fine - the white is the wax coating that the body doesn’t absorb. So long as it’s been inside for at least 20 min you’re all good

It only needs about 20 minutes to absorb so don’t worry about that. Anything that comes away is just from the waxy residue of the casing xx
