Baseline fet

Just wondered what they’d be looking for with my base line scan next week. Im on a medicated cycle... and if everything is ok moving forward... how long roughly until transfer?

Baseline scan is to check that your lining is nice and thin before you start to build your lining up with medication! It will just depend on how you respond to the estrogen but usually takes around a couple of weeks after that to prepare for transfer. Hope that helps!

I’m going for my baseline scan tomorrow but we’re doing a natural fet!!

Not really sure what there looking for but think it’s to see how the lining is!

It depends on what your protocol is. They can be looking for any combination of the following: thickness/appearance of lining, making sure downregging has worked and ovaries are sleepy, cysts, fibroids or anything else which might interfere with your cycle.

Once you start oestrogen my clinic scans you on day 12 and if your lining is nice and thick they transfer is booked for 5 or so days later (at my clinic usually a week later as they have a bit of a waiting list). Good luck!
