Dear all,
here comes a very silly question, but at this stage I will ask it. Is it possible that the patient's position during an intravaginal scan may change the readings of the lining thickness?
I am asking because I noted that every time I have a scan reclined on my back (45 degree ca.), and with my feet in those foot holders (you'll know what I mean..), the reading is higher than when I lie supine (on my back), with no foot holders - just feet on the bed, and usually I am asked to put the feet together and spread the knees out ('butterfly pose'), although today a different person just asked me to bend my knees, feet on the bed (I had to put my fists under my buttocks when she was checking the ovary, but not for the endometrium thickness measurement)!!
I know this is probably crazy, but just in case... I am emailing if anyone has any understanding of this or similar experience...
Thanks!!
