Just about to try for round 3 and I was told some blood tests were out of date, so quickly got them done. TSH is 2.79 and I think (need to check with clinic tomorrow but of course just worrying now) that they said it needs to be under 2.5.
However my doctor said it's in normal range. Just going to be so upset if I have to wait even longer.
Don't suppose anyone can answer the question but I'm desperate to know if I can go ahead with level of 2.79

They ideally like it to be below 2.5 for treatment but as you’re only just over you might be ok. Mine was 2.73 before I first had my consultation and my GP wouldn’t do anything and even went to a private endocrinologist who said he would only prescribe me levothyroxine if my clinic insisted it needed to be under 2.5 and also wrote a letter for me advising that he didn’t feel my levels were raised enough to warrant treatment. Consultant at clinic said it was fine as long as under 3 and I was retested a few weeks ago and it had risen slightly to 3.03 but clinic said that’s still ok for treatment. Hope yours says you’re ok too, when do you start treatment?
Thanks for your reply. I'm really hoping they let me continue. I have my 10 day scan tomorrow to check for lead follicle. Trouble is my scan is local clinic at 7am and I won't be able to talk to my actual clinic until after my scan, so if they say they aren't happy then I'm going to lose money (as private) but I guess that's not a big deal in the scheme of things.
All this waiting and potentially another hurdle, I'm just stressing out.
