Interesting response .... is it possible for you to speak to someone to get some reassurance ?
I am debating whether to speak to HR about some of the conversations and comments made by my manager. However I am very concerned about the impact that might have on me and my career.
The sad thing about having to share info to get time off is that people know that you are trying for a child.
I am taking a period of time off for this cycle with the majority unpaid...
The challenges are that I have been asked to change my working pattern even before I am pregnant ........

It's very tough. I know how you feel. HR should be there to be support in an environment where it doesn't impact on your career.
I wonder if there are any professional HR people on here who might be able to advise? On law and their experience?
The point is, we are trying to decrease stress not increase it!
Hopefully someone will respond. And apologies once again. I maybe should have just followed your post rather than sharing all I did. I just feel that the more we all share the more we can help each other.
Please don’t apologies - I think I didn’t explain myself well.
I think sharing does help raise awareness of some of the issues some of us face.
I have, like you found myself wondering whether the person was trying to be helpful ... to support a pregnancy but we this will be our fifth round (we are realistic). I find it frustrating that I am being asked to consider my plans once pregnant and the after ..... when despite our hopes .. it might no happen
I am pretty sure that those TTC without the need for assistance don’t face this 🙄
