My first IVF was failed after 1 transferred but nothing to freeze. Second cycle have 3 blastocyst 1 transferred and 2 on ice. Iam now 5pd5dt and really want to do the test but quite nervous.

Has anyone had failed first ivf but successful on second one?

Me! Similar to you, first cycle i had 1 transferred nothing to freeze - unsuccessful.

I’m now 30 weeks pregnant from my second cycle and have 5 in the freezer!

Wishing you all the best xx

Aww you give me so much hope. Big congrats! Can I ask what grade was your embie and did you do the early test or wait till having blood test?

I think it was 5AA .. she just said top grade & gave me a pic. Ive found in my experience clinics to be very guarded with committing to grades and being open with it.

I tested from 5DPT which i know it naughty. I got faint positives then was admitted to hospital 8DPT with late onset OHSS and they completed my blood test there. When’s your OTD? xx

I had a successful 2nd round! Same as you with the first round with nothing to freeze then a fresh 2nd cycle with resulted in our now nearly 3 year old daughter. Our embryo was a 5BA. X

Hi Goyjung, Lister has a good 'probability calculator' on their web-site if you want to see what the odds for your circumstances are in general (age etc factors are entered in ) - best of luck :)

Hi there, my first round was a max stim protocol. It was unsuccessful, I transferred two day 3 embryos & had none to freeze. I got my period before beta. My second round used a different protocol (min stim). I produced more eggs but still only 2 embryos, they were, however, higher quality. I had both transferred on day 3 & am currently 26 weeks pregnant with one baby!

Congrats! I wish I have the same result but don't think so as I test earlier there was bfn.

Don't think my clinic would transfer 2. I'm wondering what did you do to get double transfer?

The hospital I was at actually recommended that I transfer two. I had wanted to save one in case it didn’t take but they used a chart based on my age & embryo quality & strongly recommended I transfer two. I do live in the United States so I’m sure things are different but I was at a large hospital in Boston so I trusted their opinion. Hope this helps ❤️
