feeling demoralised!

We had our 4th FET on Friday, with a day 5 hatching blast, AB quality and a good lining. I've started spotting today, i know this could be implantation bleeding but its very pale pink, and exactly the same happened last month on our 3rd failed FET. I started spotting after 6 days and it gradually got heavier until AF arrived 3days before OTD. I just feel this round is going exactly the same way and im so frustrated! I havent made it to test day without AF arriving 1st on any of my rounds! its also normal.for.me to have light spotting a few days before AF when im not having IVF.

I know nothing can be done, i just fancied a bit of a rant!

Hopefully it is implantation bleeding this time round! Fingers crossed hun xx

Are you taking progesterone pessaries? I was spotting for a good few days then bright red blood until I was put on bed rest and my Cyclogest dose upped to twice daily. Good luck!! You’re by no means out of the game xxx

Im on cyclogest twice daily but as a suppository (rectally) as i have damage to my cervix from previous surgery. I'm doing a natural cycle so havent taken any other drugs.

I hope your right but this seems to happen after each transfer

Hi any- I would phone the clinic in morning and definitely ask if you can up your meds. If it’s just the very start you should be able to prevent it progressing further with increase dose and rest. Same happened to me- and I increased meds (to 3x daily cyclogest) and cramping and bleeding stopped. Was too late for me at that point but least the other symptoms stopped. (Happened 1 day before OTd as well so was gutting. I was also told categorically I would not bleed on cyclogest! Despite having heavily bled 6dp5dt on my first cycle with utrogestan pessaries.

Otherwise in future I would def recommend asking clinic for injections- I will be doing the same. Also going to check for blood clotting factors that may be causing some issues with blood flow too.

Good luck- hope all is well xx

Great advice from Saya. In March I did the same protocol you’re on now ....natural cycle and rectal Cyclogest (can’t tolerate it vaginally at all). I was put on immediate bed rest and told if bleeding didn’t stop with increased progesterone to go to injections. Please get advice urgently from your clinic xxx

I’d phone your clinic lovely and ask for a progesterone test, it turns out I don’t absorb it very well, despite at one point being on 4 pessaries (rectally too!🤦🏼‍♀️). I hadn’t made it through one 2ww without spotting bang on a week in. I now have progesterone injections, which are horrific but at least I don’t have breakthrough bleeding. Might just be worth having that chat with them. Wishing you luck xxx

i had injections woth my 1st to transfers and still had spotting! I was swapped onto suppositories as a result and because i have lymphoedema and thebinjections were making my legs swell more than usual! its so frustrating! with a natural cycle a lot of people dont have any progesterone, i was only give it due to my history of spotting!

I couldn’t tolerate the injections either, my whole belly felt the cramps and I couldn’t move from the pain after 3 days!! Hope they can help but limit activity, walking makes it worse believe me xxx
