In the E&A of the hospital and feeling terrified

I’m 6 weeks pregnant and I was so happy. But since yesterday I started to feel bad as with cold symptoms (normal coughing). This morning I took a hot tea and went to work but I started to feel worse and worse, I started to have issues breathing and cramps in my ovaries/womb stronger than my normal period. My fertility clinic did not pick up the phone, I sent them an email and they didn’t come back to me (I guess is the usual NHS treatment). I don’t have any midwife or specialist doctor to ask for help so I come to the hospital. I nurse checked on me and said I don’t have fever but I’m warm, my pressure is high, I’m usually at 120/80 but I’m now 155/88... I feeling so lonely waiting in here to see a doctor and I’m worried that something wrong is going on... anyone with a similar experience that can give me some reassurance? 😢

Really hope your ok! Your in the best place x

Really hope your ok , sending you big hugs xx

Bless you! You’re in the right place. Could just be v strong pregnancy symptoms. In my first pregnancy I thought I had flu, I was so worried with major hot flushes and all sorts of mad symptoms. You’re not bleeding so I can’t see how the pregnancy can be compromised and you don’t have fever which can be scary. You’re in the best place and i’m sure they will reassure you. Please let us know how you get on, sending lots of love xxx

Thank you al for your wonderful words! I just saw a doctor, he gave me some medices that should be safe for me to take (codeine). He said is good that I don’t have fever or bleeding and the high pressure is because i’ In pain.. They are going to call me tomorrow for a scan because a have a strong abdominal pain. Hopefully everything is going to be fine. I will go home now, have a shower and try to rest in bed and relax, I did my best going to the hospital, so I need to get rest and wait for tomorrow.

Thank you, I still feel a lot of pain but I’m going for the scan in an hour, so hopefully another doctor or nurse will check on me. Unfortunately I will be alone as my husband is quite busy... but I will try to be positive and strong. Xx
